It’s like someone put
the primer down
before they come to
spraypaint spring,
graffiti tag the world
and Technicolor everything;
til then, there’s still
the bleak, the blanket,
the bright,
the bloody cold;
best to stay inside
with beauty
and only look out
at the snow.
