Selected Writings by Dan Micklethwaite

What use is a poet in this age now
when everyone connects in short verse anyhow?
What use is a writer, a teller of tales,
when everybody tells all they do, without fail?
What use is protesting
as you're dragged out of the dark?
Life now's about openness,
it's not about art.
